New Moon in Leo: Transform Desire into Vision

Upon this New Moon we were awakened this morning by a powerful force that has culminated in the sky. Venus fresh off her cazimi that began a new cycle is now in morning star phase rising just before the Sun and generating a feeling of rebirth that sparks new visions. Sun and Moon in total darkness conjunct Lilith and Venus retrograde creating a bold Stellium that squares Uranus. We can feel the tension between this alignment that can bring breakdowns or breakthroughs depending on how well we’ve prepared for this moment.

There’s certainly some drama here with both luminaries, the Goddess of Love in retrograde and the quintessential "Bad Girl" of the sky in dramatic Leo under some serious pressure from rebellious Uranus, The Divine Awakener. Add in a grand earth trine between Mars, Uranus and Pluto efficiently organized in Virgo, Taurus and Capricorn and suddenly any instability can be stabilized with the right approach. If embraced correctly Neptune in Pisces transforms this trine into a kite releasing this structured energy directly towards our dreams.

In the face of radical change we are being asked to identify what we value and take diligent action towards our ideals bringing about transformation through self-mastery. We want to be careful to not get too far ahead of ourselves because despite all the fire this is actually more of a slow burn energy. To succeed at something of this capacity will require a lot of stamina so avoiding burn out will be key. We are building things to last transcending anything we’ve done before.

This is a time to set intentions that come straight from our core being. We aren’t just talking about something we simply want or would like to do. We are talking about passions and desires that come straight from the heart that are worth this level of commitment. Things we cannot live without any longer. We are initiating aspirations that will survive long into the future forming the basis of how we spend a significant part of or possibly the rest of our life here.
